Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect will be a pivotal figure in shaping the technological landscape of our client’s organization in San Jose, CA. This onsite position requires a visionary leader with over a decade of experience in enterprise architecture, business architecture, and technology strategy. As the bridge between business objectives and technical execution, you will be responsible for designing robust frameworks that support scalability, innovation, and efficiency. The Enterprise Architect will also be responsible for evaluating third-party vendors and technologies to ensure they meet the organization’s standards and long-term architectural vision. This includes performing gap analyses and risk assessments for new technology implementations. Furthermore, the role involves establishing governance standards to ensure that all projects adhere to the defined enterprise architecture. By fostering a culture of architectural excellence, you will help the organization avoid technical debt and ensure that the IT infrastructure remains agile and responsive to market changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive capability models that align with long-term business goals.
  • Design and optimize process models to streamline organizational workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development of information architecture to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security across the enterprise.
  • Utilize industry-standard architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate to document and communicate architectural blueprints.
  • Translate complex business challenges into architectural solutions that drive value.
  • Facilitate stakeholder management sessions and workshops to gather requirements and build consensus among senior leadership.
  • Drive AI enablement and transformation programs, integrating emerging AI tools into the existing ecosystem.
  • Conduct training sessions, product demonstrations, and structured enablement workshops for technical and non-technical teams.
  • Identify specific use cases where machine learning and generative AI can provide a competitive advantage, and then design the infrastructure necessary to support these initiatives at scale.

Technical Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Enterprise Architecture or related domains.
  • Proven expertise in Capability Modeling and Process Modeling.
  • Deep understanding of Information Architecture principles.
  • Certification or extensive experience with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong background in technology strategy and roadmap development.
  • Experience with AI-driven transformation and the practical adoption of artificial intelligence in a corporate setting.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $195,000 – $255,000 per year (Estimated)
