Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented EPIC Lumens Analyst to join our healthcare technology team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Epic’s Lumens platform—a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system—to optimize clinical data management, enhance system functionality, and support data-driven decision-making. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving patient care, streamlining clinical workflows, and ensuring the integrity of health information across various healthcare settings. Duties

  • Analyze and interpret data within the EPIC Lumens platform to support clinical research, operational improvements, and managed care initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and system vendors to design and implement system enhancements that improve data collection and usability.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and database reports to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure Lumens functionalities align with clinical workflows and compliance standards.
  • Support the integration of Lumens with other health information systems, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
  • Assist in managing clinical trials data by ensuring accurate capture, storage, and retrieval of patient information within Lumens.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users on Lumens features, best practices, and updates to maximize system efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, modifications, and user procedures for audit readiness.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Epic’s Lumens platform and its application in healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of managed care processes, medical terminology, and health information management principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming for database querying and data extraction tasks.
  • Experience with system design, integration, and optimization within complex IT infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials processes and bioinformatics concepts related to healthcare data analysis.
  • Ability to manage large datasets through effective data collection, mining, and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of databases management systems along with IT best practices for security and compliance.
  • Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement in clinical data workflows.
  • Prior experience working in acute care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
