Job Summary:
HMG America LLC is seeking an experienced ETL Development Lead with a strong background in on-premise Informatica PowerCenter. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, with preferred work locations including Morrisetown, NJ; New York, NY; Purchase, NY; Charlotte, NC; Conshohocken, PA; Dallas, TX; and Houston, TX. Other acceptable locations include Alpharetta, GA; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Fargo, ND; Garden City, NY; Jacksonville, IL; Lenexa, KS; Los Angeles, CA; Lubbock, TX; Mt Juliet, ; and Topeka, KS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new ETL, complex enhancements, and modify existing code using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Work independently to develop, configure, and unit test programs from specs (source to target mappings).
- Work closely with data architects, reporting teams, and application teams on ETL development efforts.
- Design and document ETL solutions for projects, estimate work effort, and provide status of tasks.
- Coordinate development work of all Informatica ETL developers, both offshore and onshore.
- Allocate work as needed to ensure high quality for deliverables and support their development.
- Provide technical support for the Administration and Production support of Informatica.
- Provide level three troubleshooting, baseline, and operational support.
- Create and maintain best practices and methodologies for the ETL development team.
- Identify improvements to the data warehouse environment.
- Work with the offshore team to implement these solutions.
Technical Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a Lead development role for a Data Warehouse.
- 10+ years of experience in development, maintenance, and enhancements of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes.
- Experience working with complex SQL for ETL development.
- Proven, hands-on experience with development, maintenance, and enhancements of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes.
- Expertise with integration technologies and processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Informatica PowerCenter (On Prem ONLY): Must have 2-3 years of recent experience. No Cloud (IICS) experience is required.
- Technical & Scenario-Based: Experience handling various load types (Full, Incremental, Delta) and complex business logic using advanced transformations, mappings, and variables. Ability to answer scenario-based questions (e.g., load 1st and last record only, load alternate rows).
- Performance Tuning: Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks at Source, Target, Mapping, or Session levels. Experience with Partitioning, Pushdown Optimization (PDO), and cache management.
- Informatica Administration: Hands-on experience with Informatica Administrator Console and Repository Manager to start/stop services. Experience with repository backups, migrations using Deployment Groups, and knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter version upgrades and patching (in Linux and Windows).
- SQL & Database: Proficient in SQL for writing complex queries.
- Scripting: Well-versed in scripting to automate ETL job scheduling, file handling, and using pmcmd or pmrep command-line utilities.
- Data Warehousing (DWH) Concepts: Working knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, and Millbrook standards. Solid understanding of Star vs. Snowflake schemas and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1, 2, 3). Experience designing EDW reconciliation solutions to ensure data integrity.
General Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, organization, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, Millbrook design methodology.
- Knowledge of testing tools and techniques.
- Experience within a Windows environment.
- Working knowledge of EDW reconciliation solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $94 per year (Estimated)
