Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ETL Migration Architect to lead a critical project involving the migration from Informatica to Talend. The role requires a deep understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and proven experience in large-scale data migration projects. The successful candidate will define the migration architecture, guide the development team, and ensure a smooth transition with robust data validation and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the overall migration architecture, establish standards, and develop the conversion strategy from Informatica to Talend.
- Analyze existing Informatica mappings, workflows, and their dependencies to design equivalent and optimized Talend jobs and joblets.
- Lead both automated and manual ETL conversion efforts, including remediation and refactoring as necessary.
- Establish comprehensive data validation, reconciliation, and audit frameworks to ensure data integrity throughout the migration process.
- Manage parallel runs and conduct thorough testing to validate migrated data.
- Optimize Talend jobs for maximum performance, scalability, and operational stability.
- Provide support for System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, deployment, and hypercare phases.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ETL migration, guiding developers and meticulously reviewing all deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter / IDMC.
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration.
- Proven experience in leading and executing large-scale ETL migration or modernization programs.
- Advanced SQL skills and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Demonstrated experience with data validation, reconciliation techniques, and performance benchmarking.

- This is a long-term contract position.
- The role requires the candidate to work onsite in Irving, TX.

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
