About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled FinOps Specialist to manage and optimize cloud financial operations, primarily within Azure environments. This is a long-term contract position focused on driving cost savings and improving efficiency across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud economics, pricing models, and cost optimization strategies, with hands-on experience in FinOps frameworks and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage FinOps practices across Azure cloud environments.
- Drive FinOps framework adoption across the organization.
- Leverage native tools like Azure Cost Management, and third-party FinOps platforms for custom dashboards and cost-saving optimization.
- Interlock with personas in optimizing cloud environments for cost savings and improved efficiency across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Develop and maintain spend dashboards and visualization tools for real-time cost insights.
- Develop Cost Chargeback processes.
- Provide automated reports for stakeholders on budgets, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
- Implement auto-remediation workflows for cost anomalies and policy violations.
- Enforce FinOps automation standards and reusable patterns.
- Configure alerting systems for proactive cost governance.
- Develop scripts and utilities for automated cost tracking and reporting.
- Ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of cloud economics, pricing models, and cost optimization strategies. Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, especially Azure.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud cost management tools and automation.
- Experience with Cloud FinOps frameworks and cost optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring tools and anomaly detection techniques.
- Proven ability to define governance frameworks and KPIs.
- Good in Python or any scripting language.
- Knowledge of AI-based cost modeling and analytics.
Certifications:
- Azure certifications related to architecture, automation, and cost management.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
