Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front End Engineer to join our dynamic development team for a 6-month contract engagement in either Elk Grove or Sunnyvale, CA. This role is critical for building and maintaining high-performance user interfaces using modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for ReactJS and a commitment to delivering seamless user experiences. As a Front End Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation, ensuring that our client’s web applications are not only functional but also intuitive and visually appealing. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end components using React.js and TypeScript.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and high-fidelity designs into functional code, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers, focusing on Core Web Vitals.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to ensure smooth data flow and real-time updates.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library to maintain high code quality and prevent regressions.
- Ensure the security of the application by implementing best practices such as Content Security Policy (CSP), XSS prevention, and CSRF handling.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
- Manage application state effectively using Redux, Context API, or similar state management libraries to handle complex data structures.
- Utilize modern build tools like Webpack, Babel, and Vite to streamline the development workflow and improve build times.
- Deploy and manage applications within containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring consistency across development and production.
- Work within cloud ecosystems like AWS or GCP to support infrastructure requirements and leverage cloud-native services.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end development with a focus on modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Expert-level proficiency in React.js and its core principles, including Hooks and functional components.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS), ES6+, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience with responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git, and collaborative workflows like GitFlow.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail in UI/UX implementation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and backend engineers.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
