Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a critical long-term project with the State of Pennsylvania. This remote position requires the candidate to be local to Pennsylvania to ensure alignment with regional operational standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of secure data exchange infrastructure solutions. This role demands a strong background in building complex enterprise-level web applications using the Java/J2EE ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust Java/J2EE applications following SOA principles and integration patterns.
- Build and maintain SOA web services, leveraging Spring Security, OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols for secure data exchange.
- Develop modern front-end interfaces using Vue JS or Angular to provide a seamless user experience.
- Implement Java/J2EE solutions using JBoss and Tomcat application servers.
- Execute comprehensive test plans and coordinate software deployment across multiple environments.
- Perform complex JDBC programming using Open JPA and ORM tools like Spring Hibernate.
- Utilize Oracle and PostgreSQL for advanced SQL and database programming tasks.
- Participate in strategic initiatives for system enhancements and technical design specifications.
- Manage individual tasks and deliverables to ensure project completion within scheduled timelines.
- Demonstrate leadership in development activities and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in object-oriented development using Java/J2EE.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Hibernate and Spring Boot.
- 6+ years of experience in web service design and development.
- 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular/React/VueJS.
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD processes and tools like GIT or Azure DevOps.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.
- Experience with Cloud technologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating environments.
Special Requirements
1st round interviews via Teams; Candidate must present valid photo ID to camera; 360-degree camera pan of the room required; Only local to PA candidates.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
