Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Tech Lead to spearhead a new project from its inception. This pivotal role requires a candidate with a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities, capable of driving both the technical design and the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Java-based backend development, proficiency in modern Angular frameworks, and hands-on expertise with ElasticSearch for robust search and data indexing functionalities. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity and solution capabilities. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the development team, making critical architectural decisions, and upholding best practices in coding, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of a new project utilizing ElasticSearch, Angular (latest versions), and AI tools.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end technical design and development process.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
  • Make key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Implement and enforce coding best practices and quality standards.
  • Leverage AI tools to optimize development workflows and enhance solution capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the successful and timely delivery of project milestones.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Full Stack Java Developer or Tech Lead.
  • Strong expertise in Java-based backend development.
  • Proficiency in modern Angular frameworks (latest versions).
  • Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch for search and data indexing.
  • Experience with leveraging AI tools in a development context.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Experience in guiding and mentoring development teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location and Work Environment:

This position requires onsite work from Day 1 in either Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA. The client prefers candidates who are comfortable working in a collaborative, in-person environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
