Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Tech Lead to spearhead a new project from its inception. This pivotal role requires a candidate with a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities, capable of driving both the technical design and the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Java-based backend development, proficiency in modern Angular frameworks, and hands-on expertise with ElasticSearch for robust search and data indexing functionalities. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity and solution capabilities. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the development team, making critical architectural decisions, and upholding best practices in coding, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of a new project utilizing ElasticSearch, Angular (latest versions), and AI tools.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end technical design and development process.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
- Make key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Implement and enforce coding best practices and quality standards.
- Leverage AI tools to optimize development workflows and enhance solution capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the successful and timely delivery of project milestones.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Full Stack Java Developer or Tech Lead.
- Strong expertise in Java-based backend development.
- Proficiency in modern Angular frameworks (latest versions).
- Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch for search and data indexing.
- Experience with leveraging AI tools in a development context.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring development teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Location and Work Environment:
This position requires onsite work from Day 1 in either Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA. The client prefers candidates who are comfortable working in a collaborative, in-person environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
