Role Overview

The LinkedIn Talent Productivity Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack .NET Developer for a critical onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. This position requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience to design and develop scalable APIs, integrations, and event-driven services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the .NET ecosystem combined with modern frontend technologies like React and backend scripting with Python. This is a high-impact role focused on enhancing the productivity of LinkedIn’s internal talent systems through robust engineering practices and cloud-native solutions.

Technical Requirements and Stack

The technical landscape for this role is diverse, requiring a 70/30 split between .NET/React and Python.

  • Core Backend: Extensive hands-on experience with .NET Core and C# for building enterprise-grade microservices. Proficiency in Python is required for 30% of the workload, specifically using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Bottle.
  • Frontend Development: Strong expertise in React and Node.js. Candidates must be proficient in state management using Redux, Zustand, or the Context API to build responsive and performant user interfaces.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including service bus, messaging, and event-driven architectures. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GIT for version control is essential.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres. Ability to design efficient schemas and optimize complex queries for high-volume data processing.
  • API Design: Mastery of RESTful API design, routing, middleware, and security protocols. Experience with WebSockets for real-time data communication is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software components.

  • Architecting and implementing scalable system integrations that connect disparate talent productivity tools.
  • Developing and maintaining robust APIs that serve as the backbone for internal LinkedIn applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensuring high code quality through rigorous testing, including the use of tools like Locust for performance testing and Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Mentoring junior developers and participating in code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, full-stack projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative setting.
  • Must be a local candidate to Sunnyvale, CA, or willing to relocate immediately, as the final round of interviews and the role itself are strictly onsite.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $180,000 – $240,000 per year (Estimated)
