Role Overview: Functional Test Engineer (RIA Platform)
GAC Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Functional Test Engineer to join our project team in Cincinnati, OH. This is an onsite position specifically focused on the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wealth management workflows and the technical proficiency to ensure the highest quality of software delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for validating complex financial systems that support advisory services, ensuring they meet both functional requirements and stringent regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive functional, regression, and integration testing on wealth management and RIA advisory platforms.
- Validate critical business processes including automated account setup, portfolio management, trading execution, and compliance reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test scenarios and test cases based on complex business requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard tools, collaborating closely with development and business teams for timely resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across various platform modules, including CRM integrations and performance reporting engines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand RIA processes and translate them into actionable quality assurance strategies.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), providing QA insights during sprint planning and retrospectives.
Technical and Domain Requirements
- Proven experience in functional testing within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on RIA or wealth management platforms.
- Strong understanding of Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) processes, workflows, and the lifecycle of investment accounts.
- Familiarity with SEC and FINRA compliance aspects relevant to RIA operations to ensure platform adherence to regulatory mandates.
- Skilled in creating robust test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati and collaborate effectively with local engineering and business teams.
- Experience with portfolio management software and trading platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex financial data issues.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $93,600 – $110,000 per year
