Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Functional Tester with extensive experience in Capital Markets to join our team. This role is based in Boston, MA, and requires a candidate who can perform comprehensive testing of financial applications, analyze requirements, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of trading, investment banking, or financial systems, coupled with robust testing and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough functional and regression testing for critical Capital Markets applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and effective test scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate validation of system functionality.
- Identify, meticulously document, and track defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools.
- Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and actively participate in test planning activities.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all financial transactions and market data systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of dedicated Functional Testing experience.
- Demonstrated strong experience within the Capital Markets domain.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, securities, equities, or derivatives is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
Preferred Skills
- Prior exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
