Position Summary
VKore Solutions is looking for a seasoned GCP Cloud Engineer for a 1+ year remote contract opportunity. This role is designed for a cloud operations specialist with 7 to 10 years of experience who can manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The position requires strict adherence to Eastern Standard Time (EST) working hours and offers a collaborative environment for driving cloud innovation.
Core Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and scale agents on GCP Cloud Run, ensuring high availability and optimal resource utilization.
- Architect and maintain Pub/Sub messaging systems, including the configuration of topics and subscriptions for event-driven workflows.
- Develop and manage Cloud Functions to facilitate serverless execution and automation across the cloud ecosystem.
- Optimize Google Cloud Storage (GCS) buckets for security, cost-efficiency, and high-speed data access.
- Administer Cloud Spanner instances, including schema design, access control management, and performance tuning.
- Validate Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new cloud services and architectural patterns.
- Support development teams by troubleshooting infrastructure bottlenecks and providing technical guidance on GCP best practices.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and improve delivery velocity.
- Ensure all cloud services comply with organizational security standards and industry regulations.
Required Technical Skills
- 7-10 years of experience in Cloud Operations or DevOps engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with GCP Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
- Deep knowledge of GCP storage solutions, specifically GCS and Cloud Spanner.
- Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills within distributed cloud environments.
Work Environment
- This is a 100% remote position.
- Candidates must be available to work during EST business hours.
- The initial contract duration is 1 year with a high likelihood of extension.
Special Requirements
