Role Overview
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic technical team in Woodland Hills, CA. This is a critical role requiring deep hands-on expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and a mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. As a senior member of the engineering group, you will be responsible for the architectural integrity, deployment, and ongoing management of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in complex, multi-vendor environments and enjoys collaborating directly with Google consultants and internal stakeholders to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage robust cloud infrastructure utilizing core GCP services to meet business objectives.
- Implement and maintain Cloud Run-based services to support containerized workloads, ensuring high availability and auto-scaling capabilities.
- Configure and manage Internal Load Balancers to facilitate secure and efficient service-to-service communication within the VPC.
- Provision and manage Cloud Storage Buckets, implementing strict access controls and automated lifecycle policies for data optimization.
- Architect and implement custom IAM roles following the principle of least privilege to maintain a rigorous security posture.
- Build and manage Pub/Sub messaging architectures to support event-driven systems and asynchronous processing.
- Utilize Terraform as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool to ensure repeatable, version-controlled, and scalable deployments.
- Enforce Git-based workflows and Terraform best practices across the engineering lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively in multi-vendor environments, acting as a technical liaison between internal teams and external Google consultants.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, IAM).
- Proven track record of deploying production-grade applications using Cloud Run and Pub/Sub.
- Expert-level proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including Load Balancing, DNS, and VPC peering.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-native issues across distributed systems.
Professional Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certifications are highly preferred. You must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent documentation skills and a commitment to operational excellence are essential for success in this role.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
