About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves close collaboration with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and cost-efficient architectures that meet our premier client’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions utilizing a comprehensive suite of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Virtual Private Cloud, Identity and Access Management (IAM), BigQuery, and others.
- Lead and manage cloud migration, modernization, and automation initiatives from inception to completion.
- Define and enforce best practices for cloud security, scalability, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and overall system reliability.
- Conduct thorough architecture reviews, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and perform performance tuning to ensure optimal resource utilization and efficiency.
- Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and support to development and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest GCP advancements and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud strategy and implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Kubernetes, microservices architecture, cloud networking principles, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with various DevOps tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies within the GCP ecosystem.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
