Project Overview
ReadPointe Inc is urgently hiring a GCP SQL Developer for a high-priority 12-month remote contract supporting a major healthcare client, CVS Health. This role is critical for the modernization of data infrastructure and the optimization of SQL-based workflows within the Google Cloud Platform environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex datasets, ensuring data integrity, and supporting large-scale analytics initiatives that impact patient care and business operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL queries and stored procedures within Google Cloud SQL and BigQuery environments.
- Optimize database performance by analyzing execution plans and implementing indexing strategies and partitioning.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from various healthcare sources.
- Ensure data security and compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive healthcare information.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy for CVS business units.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical applications.
Technical Environment
- Primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, specifically Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and BigQuery.
- Utilization of Cloud Dataflow or Cloud Dataproc for data processing tasks.
- Integration with CVS-specific data schemas and legacy systems to facilitate seamless data migration.
- Use of version control systems like Git for managing database scripts and configuration files.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform technologies.
- Deep understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL concepts.
- Ability to write complex, high-performance SQL queries for large-scale data analysis.
- Experience working in a remote, agile environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and technical team members effectively.
Verification and Compliance
- Candidates must possess genuine professional experience and a verifiable work history.
- A valid visa status is mandatory for this engagement.
- A professional LinkedIn profile is required for identity and experience verification purposes.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical domain is highly preferred due to the nature of the client.
Contract Details
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. The role is 100% remote, allowing for a flexible work-from-home arrangement within the United States. ReadPointe Inc offers competitive rates for both W2 and CTC (Corp-to-Corp) consultants.
