Position Summary
Smart Tech Link Solution is looking for a visionary Gen AI Architect to lead our efforts in building next-generation Agentic AI systems. Based in Frisco, TX, this hybrid role is at the forefront of the AI revolution, focusing on the modernization of legacy applications through autonomous, multi-step reasoning systems. You will be the primary architect for our AI strategy, defining how we host, manage, and scale Large Language Model (LLM) applications within an enterprise environment. This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic product vision, and the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Architect and scale Agentic AI systems capable of complex, multi-step reasoning and autonomous action to modernize enterprise applications.
- Define and implement reference architectures for container-based application hosting, memory management using vector databases, and robust data pipelines.
- Lead the product vision for reusable AI modules, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), hybrid ML/LLM systems, and standardized evaluation frameworks.
- Evaluate and select the optimal LLM stack, including models, orchestration frameworks, and observability tools, balancing cost, latency, and performance.
- Standardize advanced prompting patterns such as chain-of-thought and few-shot templates, while implementing automated chunking strategies.
- Drive team productivity by championing AI-assisted coding workflows using tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development and migration projects.
- Embed LLM workflows into existing enterprise systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and high-performance output.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce AI safety, data privacy, and ethical AI practices across all implementations.
- Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing GenAI engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal leadership and post-sale customer engagements, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies.
Technical Qualifications
The successful candidate will have over 10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 1 year specifically focused on agentic AI and LLM systems. You must demonstrate hands-on development experience using GitHub Copilot or Claude Code for rapid prototyping. Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required, along with strong proficiency in LangGraph, LangMem, and agentic workflow development. You should have extensive experience with reasoning, instruct, safety, and embedding models, as well as a deep understanding of LLM evaluation and testing frameworks such as DeepEval and LangGraph evals. This role demands a leader who can navigate the rapidly changing AI landscape and deliver production-ready solutions that meet enterprise standards for reliability and security.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $210,000 – $295,000 per year (Estimated)
