Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Gen AI Engineer to join our innovative technology team in Port Chester, NY. As the landscape of Artificial Intelligence continues to evolve rapidly into 2026, this role is pivotal in bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and production-grade enterprise solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing advanced Generative AI systems that leverage the latest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. This is a long-term engagement requiring a hybrid presence of two days per week onsite, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the AI revolution within a collaborative and high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and fine-tune state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models tailored for specific business use cases, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Architect and maintain comprehensive end-to-end ML pipelines, encompassing data ingestion from diverse sources, sophisticated preprocessing, rigorous model training, and seamless deployment.
- Design and optimize RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipelines, focusing on embedding generation, vector database management (using tools like Pinecone or FAISS), and advanced retrieval tuning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to translate complex business requirements into robust, AI-driven technical specifications.
- Implement MLOps best practices, including CI/CD for machine learning, automated model monitoring, and version control to ensure production stability.
- Conduct continuous research into emerging AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge in solution quality and efficiency.
- Ensure all AI/ML implementations adhere to the highest standards of security, data privacy, and ethical AI guidelines.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a closely related quantitative field is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering with a significant focus on AI and Machine Learning.
- Proven expertise in Python programming and its ecosystem, including NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Azure AI Search for high-dimensional data retrieval.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically Azure, AWS, or GCP, with experience deploying AI services at scale.
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including SQL, ETL pipeline construction, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as MLOps frameworks like MLflow or Kubeflow.
- Exposure to advanced topics such as Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and distributed computing frameworks like Spark or Dask.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
