Position Summary
We are looking for a visionary Generative AI Architect to lead the development of enterprise-grade AI solutions within the healthcare sector. This role focuses on leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build scalable, secure, and innovative AI products, including Generative AI (GenAI) and Agentic AI systems. You will be at the forefront of industrializing Large Language Models (LLMs) and implementing advanced AI workflows to transform healthcare delivery and operations. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position based in Hartford, CT, with remote flexibility.
Core Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the end-to-end AI architecture for healthcare products on GCP, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Design and implement GenAI solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, and grounding techniques to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Develop Agentic AI workflows using LangGraph or LangChain for multi-step planning and autonomous execution.
- Architect ML/DL solutions encompassing NLP, vector search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and model evaluation using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Deploy and manage AI services on GCP, including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Establish robust MLOps and LLMOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model registries, and comprehensive monitoring.
- Lead engineering squads across Python and Java stacks to build production-grade AI applications and microservices.
- Ensure strict adherence to healthcare security and compliance standards, including PII/PHI controls and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams to deliver high-impact AI solutions at scale.
Technical Qualifications
- Extensive experience in AI/ML architecture with a focus on Generative AI and LLMs.
- Proficiency in Python and Java (Spring Boot) for developing AI-driven applications.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its AI/ML service suite (Vertex AI).
- Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, and vector databases.
- Strong understanding of MLOps principles and tools for model lifecycle management.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and security protocols (PII/PHI).
Leadership and Strategy
- Ability to define reference architectures and technical roadmaps for complex AI initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor engineering teams through the model industrialization process.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate AI strategies to executive stakeholders.
- Commitment to ethical AI practices, including red-teaming and risk evaluation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
