Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Global Capital Markets Business Analyst to join our financial services consulting practice. This role is designed for a domain expert with over a decade of experience in the capital markets sector, specifically focusing on the intersection of trading technology, risk management, and global regulatory compliance. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that complex financial requirements are translated into robust, scalable system designs. You will provide deep subject matter expertise across a wide range of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange (FX). Your goal is to drive innovation in trading workflows while maintaining strict adherence to international market standards and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of global trading and risk management systems for top-tier financial institutions.
- Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk reduction.
- Define and document detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with front-office, middle-office, and back-office teams to ensure seamless end-to-end system integration.
- Provide strategic advice on market structures, liquidity management, and settlement processes.
- Stay at the forefront of global regulatory changes, including MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and Basel III, and assess their impact on existing systems.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and steering committee meetings to align project goals with business objectives.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide final sign-off on system deployments.
- Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for end-users.
Technical and Domain Expertise
- 10+ years of dedicated experience within the Global Capital Markets domain.
- Expert-level knowledge of financial products, including complex derivatives and structured products.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard trading platforms such as Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg, or Reuters.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, including Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Liquidity Risk modeling.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and SQL for validating data quality and integrity across disparate systems.
- Experience with market data providers and API integrations for real-time pricing and risk analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $210,000 per year
