About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and C to design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable backend and system-level applications. This role involves working on low-latency services, distributed systems, and performance-critical components, often interacting closely with operating systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure. The position is based in Atlanta/Alpharetta, GA, and is a contract role.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable backend and system-level applications using Golang and C.
- Work on low-latency services and distributed systems.
- Develop performance-critical components.
- Collaborate closely with operating systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed systems.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
Essential Skills:
- Strong expertise in Golang (Go).
- Strong expertise in C programming.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable backend applications.
- Experience with system-level programming.
- Understanding of low-latency services and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with operating systems, networking concepts, and cloud infrastructure.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Experience with database technologies.
Special Requirements
Location: Atlanta/Alpharetta, GA. Contract role.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
