Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Golang Developer with a strong background in Kafka, Event-Based Systems, Microservices, and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience with databases like Postgres and Cassandra. While a Go background is preferred, candidates with a strong grasp of Java, REST API, Kafka, and relational/non-relational databases will also be considered. This is a long-term, onsite contract position requiring 5+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Golang applications.
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Build and manage microservices for scalable solutions.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
  • Work with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Golang.
  • Experience with Kafka for messaging and event streaming.
  • Experience in designing and implementing microservices.
  • Strong understanding of REST API development.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
  • Candidates with a strong Java background and experience with Kafka, REST API, and databases will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Compensation & Location

Salary: $104,000 – $130,000 per year
