Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Infrastructure Engineer to join our enterprise technology team in Seattle, WA. This role is pivotal in managing, optimizing, and securing our global Google Workspace environment. As organizations move toward more integrated and AI-driven collaboration tools in 2026, this position requires a forward-thinking professional who can bridge the gap between traditional IT administration and modern cloud-native automation. You will be responsible for the health and performance of our collaboration ecosystem, ensuring that thousands of users can work seamlessly and securely across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Google Workspace Administration: Perform deep-dive administration of the Google Admin Console, managing Gmail, Drive, Vault, and the integration of Gemini AI tools to enhance productivity.
  • Collaboration Platform Management: Act as the primary administrator for Smartsheet and Lucidchart, ensuring these tools are configured for optimal enterprise workflow and data visualization.
  • Automation and Scripting: Utilize Google Apps Script, Python, and GAM to automate repetitive administrative tasks, user provisioning, and complex data migrations.
  • Security and Governance: Implement and maintain robust security controls, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), SSO/SAML integrations, and conditional access policies to protect sensitive corporate data.
  • Enterprise Migrations: Lead large-scale migration projects, such as moving legacy data from M365 to Google Drive, while maintaining data integrity and minimizing downtime.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with InfoSec, Compliance, and IAM teams to ensure all infrastructure changes align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on cloud collaboration suites.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace security and compliance features.
  • Proven experience with Smartsheet administration in a large-scale environment.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and Google Apps Script.
  • Experience managing global rollouts and complex enterprise-level migrations.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management and license optimization strategies.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
