Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Google Workspace Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. This is a long-term contract opportunity requiring an onsite presence. The ideal candidate will have a security-first mindset and extensive experience managing collaboration platforms for global workforces. With a focus on governance and automation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital workplace strategy and ensuring that our collaboration tools are both efficient and secure.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Google Workspace, Smartsheet, and Lucidchart across the enterprise.
  • Manage the administration, configuration, and architectural governance of all collaboration platforms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and enforce rigorous security controls, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), conditional access, SSO/SAML, and OAuth.
  • Lead global rollout initiatives, platform upgrades, and large-scale data migrations, specifically from M365 to Google Workspace.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to reduce operational overhead and improve system efficiency using tools like Apps Script or Python.
  • Integrate collaboration tools with other enterprise systems to create a seamless and productive user experience.
  • Partner with InfoSec, IAM, Compliance, and executive leadership to drive the collaboration roadmap and strategy.
  • Optimize enterprise licensing and resource allocation in partnership with IT Asset Management to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Experience and Skills

  • 8 to 15 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Collaboration Engineering.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace Administration and Smartsheet Administration.
  • Proven track record of supporting global workforce environments with complex security and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and scripting capability to drive operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-level migrations and platform rollouts for large organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical leaders across the business.

Project Details

This role is based in Seattle, Washington, and requires an onsite presence to facilitate close collaboration with the core infrastructure team. The project is a long-term contract with a competitive rate of $62/hr on C2C. You will be joining a fast-paced environment where innovation and security are prioritized. Special Requirements

Onsite role in Seattle, WA. Rate is $62 max on C2C including VMS charges. Long term contract.
