Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphics / Web Designer to join our team on a remote basis. This role is crucial for our ongoing modernization journey, focused on transforming legacy applications into modern, user-friendly interfaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong visual design skills, an excellent sense of layout, and a deep understanding of design systems, including component specifications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to translate requirements into intuitive and visually appealing designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with platform teams to interpret requirements from functional architects.
- Translate legacy UIs into our modern design framework.
- Develop and maintain visual design standards and guidelines.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across all digital platforms.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Graphics / Web Designer or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual design, layout, and UX design skills.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch, etc.
- Understanding of design systems, component specifications, and their implementation.
- Experience with UX design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Comfortable working with legacy systems and modernizing them.
- Must be comfortable working with CST hours.
