About the Role:
This role is for a Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Architect or Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead. The ideal candidate will have deep architectural knowledge of Insurance Suite PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, with a strong understanding of their cross-functional interactions. Extensive knowledge of the Property Casualty insurance lifecycle, including underwriting rules, claims adjudication, and financial reporting, is required. The candidate should stay ahead of Guidewire Skirelease cycles to evaluate new features and determine their business value.
Responsibilities:
Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Architect:
- Deep architectural knowledge of Insurance Suite PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter and a strong understanding of their cross-functional interactions.
- Extensive knowledge of the Property Casualty insurance lifecycle including underwriting rules, claims adjudication, and financial reporting.
- Stay ahead of Guidewire Skirelease cycles to evaluate new features (e.g., Jutro digital frameworks or Advanced Analytics) and determine their business value.
- Advanced proficiency in GOSU and a solid foundation in Java.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native implementations including Cloud APIs, Integration Gateway, and Jutro for digital frontends.
- Ability to manage complex product model changes and publish them without disrupting the runtime environment.
- Knowledge of Guidewire App Events, Messaging, Plugins, Event Fired Rules, and asynchronous processing.
- Guidewire Certification (Ace preferred, Associate mandatory).
Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead:
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter core APIs.
- Proven expertise in driving submission, quote, bind, issue, endorsement, and policy lifecycle transactions via APIs.
- Solid Guidewire GOSU experience, especially in API customization and transaction control.
- Strong Guidewire GQ, Guidewire Query experience.
- Experience working across multiple lines of business (Commercial, Personal).
- Experience building PC-driven outbound integrations with external systems.
- Strong understanding of PolicyCenter job processes, entities, data model, and validation framework.
- Java, GOSU, XML fundamentals.
- Experience with API error handling, transaction integrity, and performance considerations.
- Prior onsite lead experience with offshore teams.
- Ability to guide, review, and unblock offshore developers.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile delivery models.
Special Requirements
PolicyCenter is a MUST. Candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter core APIs and GOSU. Experience with cloud-native implementations is required for the Architect role. Experience working in Agile delivery models is required for the Technical Lead role.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $95 per year (Estimated)
