Position Summary
Pacer Staffing is urgently seeking a visionary IAM Architect to lead the architectural design and governance of a modern, risk-based Conditional Access framework. This role is pivotal in securing our client’s digital identity landscape using Microsoft Entra ID. The successful candidate will ensure that the identity architecture not only meets business requirements but also adheres to the rigorous operational realities of medical device manufacturing and global regulatory standards such as SOX and GDPR.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic design and implementation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, focusing on Microsoft Entra ID.
- Develop and maintain a target-state design for Conditional Access, ensuring a balance between security and user experience.
- Oversee the technical execution of IAM projects across cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance on MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) and PAM (Privileged Access Management) solutions.
- Govern the IAM framework to ensure continuous compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other industry-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align identity strategies with the unique needs of the medical device manufacturing sector.
- Drive the adoption of accessibility and assistive technologies within the identity ecosystem to ensure inclusive access.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management with a focus on Design and Architecture.
- Proven track record of implementing large-scale IAM frameworks in complex, regulated environments.
- Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access policies and identity governance.
- Deep understanding of security protocols, risk-based authentication, and privileged access security.
- Experience within the medical device manufacturing domain is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-aligned strategies.
The 2026 IAM Landscape
As we move further into 2026, Identity is the new perimeter. This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, protecting critical infrastructure in the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for building resilient systems that defend against sophisticated identity-based attacks while enabling seamless global operations. This is an onsite position located in either San Francisco, CA or Cincinnati, OH, offering a 6-month initial duration with high potential for extension.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
