Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled IAM Engineer with expertise in SailPoint or Okta to join our client’s team. This role is crucial for shaping platform strategy, owning end-to-end architecture, and leading complex transformations across private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape platform strategy and own end-to-end architecture for Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Lead complex transformations across private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Advise executives and develop roadmaps for IAM initiatives.
  • Build target-state reference architectures for IAM systems.
  • Guide delivery teams from discovery through steady state operations.
  • Implement and manage IAM solutions using SailPoint or Okta.
  • Ensure robust security, compliance, and operational efficiency of IAM platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, security, storage, platform, and DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain IAM-related documentation and runbooks.
  • Drive cost optimization and license posture management related to IAM solutions.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, sizing, and solution estimation for IAM projects.
  • Translate technical decisions into business outcomes and risk trade-offs.
  • Create executive-level presentations and design packs.

Required Technical Skills

  • Extensive experience with SailPoint or Okta.
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX (T), Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, HCX, Tanzu/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of VMware Cloud on AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Familiarity with network overlays, egress controls, and cost-aware architectures.
  • Proficiency in VMware ESXi & vCenter (8/9) and VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation).
  • Experience with VMware Lifecycle Manager.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills: PowerCLI (must-have); Terraform/Ansible/Python (nice-to-have).

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware certifications (VCP DCV, VCAP, VCF Specialist).
