Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IDMC Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) Consultant to join our dynamic team in Stamford, CT. As organizations increasingly migrate their data ecosystems to the cloud, the need for robust data governance, metadata management, and compliance has never been more critical. This role is at the forefront of ensuring that our enterprise data is discoverable, trustworthy, and compliant with global standards. You will be responsible for leveraging the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform to build a comprehensive data catalog and implement governance policies that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Metadata Management: Lead the configuration and management of metadata harvesting processes across diverse data sources. You will be responsible for establishing end-to-end data lineage and maintaining a robust business glossary that aligns technical assets with business terminology.
- Governance Framework: Define and implement data domains, governance policies, and compliance workflows. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that data usage adheres to internal standards and external regulations.
- Collaboration & Stewardship: Act as a bridge between technical teams and data stewards. You will facilitate workshops to align metadata definitions with enterprise standards and promote a culture of data accountability.
- Automation & Integration: Synchronize metadata between IDMC, cloud data warehouses (such as Snowflake or Databricks), and legacy on-premises sources. You will utilize automation tools to ensure the catalog remains up-to-date in real-time.
- Platform Governance: Enforce strict governance standards for the IDMC platform itself, including coding best practices, deployment controls, and security configurations.
- Release & System Health: Support Informatica Cloud releases through rigorous testing and validation. Monitor platform health, conduct capacity planning, and remediate any identified vulnerabilities to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality and governance maturity.
- Compliance & Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery testing, manage password rotations, and ensure all activities meet audit compliance requirements.
Technical Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Informatica IDMC suite, specifically the CDGC module. You should have a proven track record of implementing metadata management solutions in complex, hybrid-cloud environments. Experience with cloud data platforms, SQL, and API-based integrations is highly desirable. Furthermore, strong communication skills are essential for translating complex technical requirements into actionable governance policies for non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
