Position Summary: IFS Applications Specialist

We are looking for a specialized IFS Applications Consultant with specific expertise in Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Scheduling, and Dispatch modules. This role is based in Berlin, Connecticut, for an initial 6-month contract duration. The consultant will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and integrating IFS MWM workflows to support critical business operations, particularly within the utility and gas distribution sectors.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance complex IFS MWM workflows, incorporating required business logic and data fields.
  • Develop and maintain robust integrations between IFS and other enterprise systems including IBM Maximo, GIS, and WAM Data Mart.
  • Utilize middleware technologies such as Informatica and MuleSoft to facilitate seamless data flow across the ecosystem.
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements.
  • Lead Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) defect resolution activities.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including design documents, configuration specifications, and support manuals.
  • Provide critical support during deployment, cutover planning, and post-go-live Hypercare phases.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with IFS Applications, specifically the MWM, Scheduling, and Dispatch modules.
  • Strong knowledge of integration technologies, including APIs, Informatica, and MuleSoft.
  • Familiarity with related platforms such as IBM Maximo, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or other workforce management tools.
  • Proven experience working within an Agile Scrum framework.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Background in Gas Distribution or Leak Management processes is highly preferred.

You will be expected to provide expert guidance on IFS best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of field service operations. The project environment is fast-paced and requires a consultant who can deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines while maintaining clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.


Special Requirements

Domain: Gas Distribution or Leak Management preferred; Agile Scrum experience required.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Berlin, CT
