Job Description: Ignition SCADA Architect
We are looking for a skilled Ignition SCADA Architect for a 6+ month contract role, located 100% onsite in East Granby, CT. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in architecting and designing control/Ignition SCADA systems, including databases, database interfaces, Tag Providers, Ignition Edge/Enterprise, and Ignition Foundation drivers.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and design Ignition SCADA systems, including databases and database interfaces, Tag Providers, Ignition Edge/Enterprise, and Ignition Foundation drivers.
- Possess strong Python scripting knowledge and expertise for Ignition development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Plant and machine KPIs and their visualization within Ignition.
- Provide clear understanding of various Ignition architectures to suggest the right-fit solution.
- Exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have hands-on experience in multiple PLC and IT/OT integration technologies.
- Possess experience in PLC integration and design.
- Conduct site surveys to assess data integration readiness and propose integration approaches for connecting machines with Ignition.
- Understand project requirements to architect Ignition solutions using necessary Ignition or authorized third-party modules for the manufacturing space.
- Design control/SCADA systems including databases, database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, scripting (VB, Python, etc.), and general programming.
- Interact with clients for requirement analysis, enhancement, and support.
- Work with offshore engineering teams and lead projects.
- Ensure successful implementation and deployment of SCADA solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SCADA systems and integrations.
- Document system designs, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Ignition and Gold Certification is required.
- Extensive hands-on experience in architecting and designing control/Ignition SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for Ignition.
- Knowledge of Plant and machine KPIs and visualization in Ignition.
- Understanding of various Ignition architectures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with multiple PLC and IT/OT integration technologies.
- Experience in PLC integration and design.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and propose integration approaches.
- Experience designing control/SCADA systems including databases, data analytics, reporting, and scripting.
- Experience interacting with clients for requirement analysis and support.
- Experience working with offshore teams and leading projects.
- Familiarity with keywords such as Ignition SCADA, SCADA systems, HMI, Sepasoft is beneficial.
- Search for SCADA and within profiles search for “Ignition gold certification” or “Ignition architect”.
This is a contract position with a duration of 6+ months. We are looking for candidates who can start immediately.
