Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Incident Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in incident management processes and procedures, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. This is a hybrid role requiring the consultant to be local to Oakland, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage IT incidents to minimize disruption and restore services quickly.
- Develop, implement, and maintain incident management processes and procedures.
- Lead and coordinate incident response teams during critical incidents.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Communicate incident status and impact to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with various IT teams to improve service delivery and incident resolution times.
- Maintain accurate incident records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the incident management lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in incident management or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of incident management processes and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
- ITIL certification is required.
