Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica Administrator to manage and optimize our data integration platforms. This role involves the administration of both Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), ensuring that our ETL/ELT pipelines are robust, secure, and high-performing. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and infrastructure, managing cloud-based environments and supporting critical reporting tools like Tableau. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the Informatica platform, from installation and configuration to ongoing maintenance and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer Informatica PowerCenter & IICS environments.
- Manage repositories, Secure Agents, integration services, user/security roles, and connectivity.
- Monitor workflows, troubleshoot failures, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Handle patching, hotfixes, environment refreshes, and migration activities.
- Administer Linux/AWS infrastructure for Informatica components (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM).
- Ensure high availability, performance, capacity planning, and platform scalability.
- Implement SSO/SAML, RBAC, encryption, compliance, and audit controls.
- Collaborate with dev/data teams to support integrations, automation, and CI/CD deployments.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and operational reports.
- Manage Tableau cloud workspace and stream access management.
- Provide support for Tableau cloud and handle critical incidents around enterprise-level platforms.
- Coordinate with end users, vendors, and other product teams to ensure seamless operations.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience as an Informatica Administrator with expertise in PowerCenter and IICS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure, specifically EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with Tableau Cloud administration and reporting support.
- Understanding of security protocols including SSO, SAML, and RBAC.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation in a data environment.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and take full ownership of the platform.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex ETL failures and performance issues.
Operational Excellence
In this role, you will be expected to drive operational excellence by implementing best practices for data governance and platform stability. You will work closely with data architects to ensure that the Informatica environment can support the growing data needs of the organization. This includes capacity planning and proactive monitoring to prevent downtime. Your ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including vendors for support and internal developers for deployment, will be critical to the success of our data initiatives. Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
