Role Overview: Informatica Platform Administrator
Metrix IT Solutions INC is seeking a highly specialized Informatica Platform Administrator to join our team for a critical contract engagement. As we move into 2026, the landscape of data integration has shifted significantly toward hybrid cloud environments and AI-driven automation. This role is designed for a technical expert who can navigate the complexities of Informatica IDMC (Cloud Data Integration), TDM, and PowerCenter modernization while integrating cutting-edge tools like Tonic AI for synthetic data generation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end health, security, and scalability of our Informatica ecosystem, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across on-premises and cloud-native platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Informatica Platform Administration: You will lead the installation, configuration, and day-to-day administration of the full Informatica suite. This includes managing Informatica IDMC (Cloud Data Integration – CDI), CDI-PC for PowerCenter modernization, and legacy PowerCenter environments. You will be responsible for domain configuration, node management, grid setups, and the deployment of secure agents.
- Test Data Management (TDM) & Data Privacy: A core component of this role involves administering Informatica TDM to facilitate data subsetting, masking, and generation. You will build and maintain complex TDM connections and workflows to protect PII (Personally Identifiable Information) while ensuring that development teams have high-quality, compliant data for testing cycles.
- Tonic AI Integration: In alignment with modern data privacy standards, you will configure and integrate Tonic AI. This involves creating pipelines between Informatica, various databases, and Tonic AI to generate synthetic data and anonymize sensitive information, ensuring full compliance with global data privacy regulations.
- PowerCenter Modernization (CDI-PC): You will spearhead the migration strategy from on-premises PowerCenter to IDMC CDI. This requires a deep analysis of existing mappings and dependencies to optimize design patterns for cloud-native execution, reducing technical debt and improving performance.
- B2B Data Exchange: Support and configure Informatica B2B Data Exchange systems, managing trading partner setups and ensuring secure file transmission via SFTP, AS2, and HTTPS protocols.
- Automation and Infrastructure: Leverage Linux scripting and Ansible to automate platform maintenance, patching, and deployment tasks. You will implement robust RBAC, LDAP/AD integrations, and platform security measures to safeguard the data environment.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in Informatica administration. Deep expertise in IDMC and TDM is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of leading cloud migration projects and a high level of proficiency in Linux-based automation. Experience with Tonic AI or similar synthetic data tools is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and trading partners.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year
