Role Overview: Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Architect for a critical onsite role in Culver City, CA. This position is designed for a technical visionary with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry, specifically working with major systems and vendors. The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing robust IT infrastructures that support large-scale enterprise operations. This role requires a deep understanding of both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and highly available. Given the location and client profile, experience within the entertainment industry is highly preferred, as you will be managing environments that support high-demand media and production workflows. This is a 100% onsite position, requiring a candidate who can provide immediate, hands-on architectural leadership.

Key Technical Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage enterprise-level systems involving Windows, RHEL Linux, and Oracle Linux operating systems.
  • Design and oversee virtualization strategies using VMware or Nutanix products, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Lead the management and operation of cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a focus on networking, security, and IAM.
  • Implement Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) concepts.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform.
  • Automate complex infrastructure processes using Python, PowerShell, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Design and manage storage technologies including SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, and object storage solutions.
  • Ensure comprehensive security across all domains, including data, database, OS, web, network, and identity security.
  • Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including ER diagrams, n-tier architecture maps, and Visio diagrams.
  • Collaborate with project management teams using Waterfall and Agile methodologies to deliver infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Professional Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or an equivalent field, with a Master’s degree being highly preferred. You must have at least 5 years of experience as a systems administrator and 5 years of experience with major Linux and Windows operating systems. A minimum of 3 years of experience with virtualization and cloud service providers is required. Beyond technical skills, we are looking for an individual with strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. You must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms across all organizational levels, from technical staff to executive leadership. The ability to research emerging technologies and present ideas in user-friendly language is crucial for driving innovation within the organization. Candidates must be able to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $165,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Culver City, CA
