Role: iOS Tech Lead with React Native (original team)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS Tech Lead with a strong background in React Native to join our client’s original team. This is a hybrid role based in Miami, FL, with a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate must be able to convert to a full-time employee without sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead offshore teams in software design, prototyping, and development of iOS applications.
  • Develop, release, and maintain high-quality iOS applications.
  • Write comprehensive tests using XCTest to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
  • Integrate mobile clients with microservices (REST-based APIs) and work with distributed systems.
  • Understand and implement Brownfield development, which involves modifying or upgrading existing legacy systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building complex, high-quality iOS applications.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS app design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift, and popular iOS frameworks.
  • Experience with React Native is mandatory.
  • Experience with Brownfield development.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests (XCTest).
  • Experience integrating mobile clients with microservices (REST APIs).
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Must be able to convert to full-time without sponsorship.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) – Must be onsite from Day 1 if relocating.
  • Type: 6-month contract to hire.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year
