Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver critical technology projects that support core business goals in the Bay Area. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of software development, infrastructure, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This is an onsite position requiring a physical presence in the Bay Area five days a week, catering to a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects from initial initiation through to final closure and post-implementation review.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success metrics in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure optimal team performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including development, QA, infrastructure, and various business stakeholders.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests with robust mitigation strategies.
- Develop project charters, detailed workplans, and quarterly milestones to track progress effectively.
- Track project budgets, costs, and resource utilization to ensure financial accountability.
- Provide regular, transparent project status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to IT governance, security, and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and project review meetings in an Agile environment.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting lessons-learned processes and implementing best practices.
- Identify IT systems, solutions, and architecture to support new facilities and business processes.
Qualifications and Competencies
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, with 12+ years of experience managing IT or software development projects. Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies is required. You must be proficient with project management tools such as Atlassian Jira, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Project. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is essential. Preferred qualifications include PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. Key competencies include expert-level project planning, risk management, budget and vendor management, and exceptional stakeholder communication skills.
Special Requirements
Only locals CA; Onsite 5 days per week in Bay Area.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
