About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with PMP certification to lead critical projects for the Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services (DAS). This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and end-to-end project delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage moderate to large complexity IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Ensure successful end-to-end project delivery, meeting scope, budget, and timeline objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and government agencies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of services and products.
  • Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure adherence to project governance standards.
  • Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification (Required).
  • Minimum of 14+ years of experience in IT project management.
  • Proven experience managing moderate to large complexity projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and project governance principles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools including MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with O365 suite.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong vendor coordination and negotiation abilities.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
