Role Overview
The Ivalua Support Lead is a critical technical and functional leadership position responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Ivalua procurement platform. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes combined with advanced technical proficiency in SQL and API integrations. As a lead, you will be the primary point of contact for complex system issues, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that the platform continues to support the organization’s strategic procurement goals. The position demands a proactive individual who can navigate the complexities of a global procurement ecosystem while maintaining high standards of system reliability and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the application support team in resolving high-priority incidents and service requests related to the Ivalua platform.
- Perform deep-dive technical analysis using SQL to query databases, identify data inconsistencies, and troubleshoot system bugs.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of support tickets within ServiceNow or JIRA, from initial intake to final resolution and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement business users, IT infrastructure, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless system performance.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical system configurations and functional specifications.
- Oversee system integrations, ensuring that APIs and data protocols are functioning correctly between Ivalua and other enterprise systems.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior support analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance monitoring to proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, support processes, and known error databases.
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring that system updates and patches are tested and deployed with minimal disruption.
Technical and Functional Requirements
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in application support, specifically within procurement systems or ERP environments.
- Mandatory Ivalua L1 and L3 Certifications; candidates without these certifications will not be considered for this lead role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of web services, APIs (REST/SOAP), and integration middleware protocols.
- Experience working with enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA in an ITIL-aligned environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding SLAs in a high-volume support environment.
- Familiarity with procurement business processes, including Sourcing, Contracting, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).

Must be Ivalua L1 & L3 Certified. Onsite requirement in Columbus, IN.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
