Job Title: Java API Developer (API Gateway)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java API Developer with strong expertise in API development and API Gateway technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs while working closely with cross-functional teams to support enterprise integration and digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java technologies.
- Work with API Gateway platforms to manage API routing, security, monitoring, and traffic management.
- Develop scalable and secure APIs for enterprise applications and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and development teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement API security mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and authentication/authorization protocols.
- Ensure APIs follow industry standards, best practices, and governance policies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Maintain API documentation and support integration with internal and external systems.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of API Gateway and API management concepts.
- Experience working with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework.
- Familiarity with API security standards like OAuth2, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and web services integration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.

Special Requirements
Arizona Locals only 2nd Round Onsite interview. Visa types accepted: H4EAD, GCEAD, USC, TN visa. Rate: $50/hr on C2C.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $97,760 – $104,000 per year (Estimated)
