Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with a strong background in J2EE frameworks, microservices, and cloud technologies. This role involves working on critical backend systems for our end client, AT&T, and requires a hands-on approach to development, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Core Java & J2EE.
- Implement microservices architecture, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Utilize Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Maven for application development.
- Deploy and manage applications using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Integrate messaging systems using Kafka.
- Write and maintain automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Groovy Spock framework.
- Develop and execute scripts (Unix/Java) for automation and operational tasks.
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Solr, Cosmos DB, and Cassandra.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.
Required Skill Set:
- Core Java & J2EE: Strong experience in Java programming, J2EE frameworks, and object-oriented design.
- Frameworks: Proficient with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Maven.
- Microservices: Deep understanding of microservice architecture, REST APIs, and reactive programming.
- Cloud (Azure/AWS): Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment practices.
- Messaging: Hands-on experience with Kafka.
- Testing & Quality: Skilled in automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), Groovy Spock framework; code quality tools.
- Scripting: Ability to write and leverage scripts (Unix/Java) for automation and operational tasks.
- Databases: Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Solr, Cosmos DB, Cassandra).
- DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Maven).
- Tools: Good exposure to Jenkins, k8s, and ELK (Kibana).
Additional Information:
- This is a C2C contract role with a rate of $60/hr max.
- Face-to-face interviews are required.
- Only local candidates from Georgia (GA) will be considered.
