Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our core business applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Java ecosystem, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development. We are specifically looking for a professional with over 12 years of industry experience who can provide technical leadership and drive architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Architect and implement microservices that are scalable, resilient, and easy to maintain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and integration points.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality code standards.
- Implement security best practices and data protection measures across all backend services.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments on AWS or Azure.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8-12 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to identifying system bottlenecks and proposing innovative solutions.
Location & Visa Constraints
This position is open to candidates local to New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), Ohio (OH), and Texas (TX). Preference will be given to local candidates who can participate in hybrid work arrangements if required. Please note that this specific opening is strictly limited to consultants holding a valid H4 EAD visa status. Candidates requiring other forms of sponsorship will not be considered at this time.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
