Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. This role involves applying software engineering methods to the design, definition, development, evaluation, integration, and support of IT solutions. You will function as a technical consultant, performing analysis and troubleshooting of system defects and issues, and designing quality control and test procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Models and applies software engineering methods and techniques.
- Performs analysis and troubleshooting of system defects and issues.
- Designs quality control and test procedures.
- Applies technical expertise to test system solutions.
- Configures, tests, and debugs software using defined procedures.
- Investigates, analyzes, and resolves problems on software products.
- Handles project portions with minimal supervision, including solution evaluation/modification, data development, analysis, communication, and client interaction.
- Gathers and evaluates client capabilities and needs.
- Assists with services/products/technology solution architecture design and installation.
- Accountable for all phases of specific projects.
- Facilitates meetings and documentation.
- Delivers projects on schedule, within budget, and to technical specifications.
Technical Skills Required:
- Java 8 and higher
- J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA/Hibernate, XML, Mail API, JAXB, Webservice)
- Java Frameworks (JSF, Primefaces, Wicket, Struts, Spring)
- Database experience with Oracle 11g and higher, MS SQL Server, or MySQL
- Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Application server experience with JBOSS 7.0 and higher.
- Strong Oral and Written Communication skills.
- Experience with business analysis and gathering/documenting requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Projects and MS Visio.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and performance testing (e.g., Silk Performer).
- Experience with source code management tools (Git, CVS, Subversion).
- Experience with build automation tools (Ant, Maven).
- Experience with performance evaluation tools (JProfiler, VisualVM).
- Experience in integration of multiple systems or applications using Webservice.
- Experience automating data sharing processes.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- IMAP
- Unix basic scripting and commands.
- Junit, log4j, slf4j, Ant/Maven.
- MS Project, MS Visio, MS SQL Server.
