Position Summary
We are currently seeking a talented and local Java Developer for an onsite position in Louisville, KY. This role is critical for our client’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives. As a Java Developer, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining scalable web applications. This 6+ month contract offers the opportunity to work with a modern technology stack including Angular, Node.js, and Azure Cloud. We are specifically looking for candidates who are already based in the Louisville area to ensure seamless onsite collaboration and immediate integration into the project team.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software using Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Build responsive and interactive front-end components using Angular to enhance user experience.
- Implement server-side logic and robust APIs using Node.js.
- Manage and optimize relational databases using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Utilize Azure Cloud services for application deployment, scaling, and management.
- Monitor application performance and logs using Splunk to ensure system reliability and rapid issue resolution.
- Work with Azure Synapse for data warehousing and analytics integration to drive business insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers in an Agile environment.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Technical Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java development (Spring Boot, Hibernate).
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Splunk.
- Understanding of data integration and analytics platforms like Azure Synapse.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
