Position Summary
Livemindz is looking for a Senior Java Developer with extensive AWS experience to join our development team in McLean, VA. This is a critical onsite role requiring local candidates who can contribute to our cloud-native application development from day one. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure web applications using the latest Java technologies and Amazon Web Services.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance web applications using AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Architect and maintain serverless solutions utilizing API Gateway, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Develop RESTful APIs that serve as the backbone for our modern web and mobile interfaces.
- Implement automated testing frameworks to maintain high code quality and system reliability.
- Leverage containerization technologies such as ECS, EKS, and Fargate for cloud-native application deployment.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.
- Enforce security best practices through the use of IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.
- Design serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions for complex business logic orchestration.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through automated backup and disaster recovery solutions using EBS and S3.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have between 8 to 10 years of professional software development experience, with a heavy focus on Advanced Java concepts and the AWS ecosystem. We are looking for developers who understand the intricacies of distributed systems and can apply cloud-native design patterns to solve complex business problems. You should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions.

Candidate Profile
- Expertise in Java 17+ and Spring Boot framework.
- Proven experience with AWS certification (Associate or Professional level) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
