Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Java Developer with a specialized focus on React.JS to join our engineering team in San Leandro, CA. This position is pivotal for the development and continuous improvement of enterprise-level web applications that serve a massive user base. As we move into 2026, the demand for seamless, accessible, and high-performance web interfaces has never been higher. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of professional experience in front-end architecture, specifically within the React ecosystem, and a deep commitment to inclusive design through accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop robust, scalable front-end components using React.JS, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to user interactions.
  • Lead the implementation of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1, ensuring that all digital products are fully accessible to users with disabilities.
  • Integrate front-end interfaces with SDL Tridion Content Management Systems (CMS) to facilitate dynamic content delivery and management across enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate complex wireframes and high-fidelity designs into functional, pixel-perfect code.
  • Manage the full development lifecycle of web applications, from initial concept and prototyping to deployment and post-launch maintenance.
  • Optimize application performance by utilizing modern build tools such as WebPack and ensuring efficient state management within React.
  • Conduct rigorous unit testing and participate in peer code reviews to maintain the highest standards of code quality and security.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in JavaScript, React, and accessibility to ensure our tech stack remains cutting-edge.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing enterprise-grade web applications using React.JS and the broader JavaScript ecosystem.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in applying WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards to large-scale web projects.
  • 1+ year of specific experience working with SDL Tridion CMS, including integration and template management.
  • Expertise in Node.JS, NPM, and modern front-end build pipelines involving WebPack, Babel, and related tools.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS), and modern ES6+ JavaScript features.
  • Familiarity with Java-based back-end services and the ability to consume RESTful APIs effectively.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cross-browser compatibility and accessibility issues.

Professional Environment and Expectations

This role requires a professional who is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator. You will be expected to work on-site in San Leandro, CA, and must be available for a mandatory in-person interview. We value local candidates who can contribute to our collaborative office culture. At S2S SOFT LLC, we provide an environment where innovation is encouraged, and technical excellence is rewarded. Our projects often involve high-stakes enterprise applications where attention to detail and adherence to strict accessibility compliance are non-negotiable. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and a passion for building software that makes a difference in the user experience.

About the Interview Process

Due to the critical nature of this role, our screening process is comprehensive. Following an initial technical screening, qualified candidates will be invited for a mandatory in-person interview at our facility.
