Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer for a critical onsite position in San Leandro, CA. This role is designed for a technical leader with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the Java ecosystem, specifically focused on building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of complex backend systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. This position requires a deep understanding of modern architectural patterns and a proven track record of transitioning legacy monoliths into microservices-based environments.
Technical Requirements and Expertise
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience using Java.
- At least 7 years of intensive experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
- Expertise in the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.
- Proven track record with Kubernetes Services and containerization strategies for cloud-native apps.
- Deep understanding of Core Java concepts, including Multithreading, Concurrency, and Collections.
- Extensive experience with Oracle DB and API Management tools such as Apigee or API Gateway.
- Hands-on experience in migrating Monolith applications to Microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and security best practices.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and resolving complex production-level issues.
- At least 2 years of experience with major cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS.
- 3+ years of experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Proficiency with DevOps tools including Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins, Fortify, Sonar, and Blackduck.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of robust backend services. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to strict CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise in multithreading and design patterns will be vital in optimizing application performance for high-concurrency scenarios. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating security risks within web applications. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and DevOps engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
