Role Overview
Agile Enterprise Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with specialized expertise in Azure cloud environments for a long-term, 12-month onsite contract in Dallas, Texas. This role is critical for our client’s digital transformation initiatives, focusing on building robust, scalable microservices using the latest Java and Spring Boot frameworks. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle, from architectural design to deployment and observability. The modern enterprise landscape requires developers who are not just coders, but architects of cloud-native ecosystems. In this role, you will be at the forefront of leveraging Java 17 and Spring Boot 3 to create APIs that serve millions of requests. The integration of GraphQL via Apollo or Spring GraphQL represents a shift towards more flexible data fetching, and your expertise here will be vital.
Technical Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Java development, specifically with Java 17 or higher.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot 3 for building high-performance API services.
- Deep understanding of RESTful and GraphQL (Apollo, Spring GraphQL) integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Proven track record in managing Azure cloud infrastructure, including VNet, private networking, and security configurations.
- Practical knowledge of Azure-specific services such as Azure Event Hub, Azure Cosmos DB (MongoDB API), and Azure PostgreSQL.
- Advanced experience with DevOps automation using GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Dynatrace for APM and Mezmo for logging.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architectures that are resilient and scalable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure cloud-native security best practices are integrated into the development process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
- Optimize application performance through monitoring and proactive tuning.
- Manage data consistency and high availability across Azure Event Hub and Cosmos DB platforms.
Qualifications and Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on distributed and cloud-native systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.

- Ability to work onsite in Dallas, TX, and meet the strict ‘Locals Only’ requirement.
Interview and Evaluation Process
Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous three-step evaluation process designed to verify technical depth and cultural fit. The ‘Locals Only’ requirement is strict due to the necessity of the final in-person interview and the onsite nature of the work in Dallas. Candidates must be currently residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex or be willing to relocate immediately at their own expense before the interview process concludes. The steps include:
- Step 1: Berribot Coding Test to assess technical proficiency and algorithmic thinking.
- Step 2: Technical Interview with Wipro to evaluate domain expertise and architectural knowledge.
- Step 3: Final In-Person Client Interview in Dallas to confirm soft skills and team integration.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
