Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 12+ months (37.5 hrs/week)

Responsibilities

1. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for a portfolio of existing portal applications to ensure their stability, security, and optimal performance.

2. Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and other development teams to design, develop, and implement new applications and features on the portal platform.

3.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues that arise within the portal or its applications, working to minimize disruption and downtime.

4. Participate in requirements gathering, technical design discussions, and code reviews to promote best practices for application development and maintenance.”

Skills Needed

84 months experience as a Java Web Developer

36 months experience writing SOAP based Webservices

12 months experience developing applications or portlets for a Liferay Portal

12 months experience developing using Java ServerFaces (JSF) or Primefaces Frameworks

12 months experience writing SQL or PL/SQL in Oracle Database Environment

12 months experience writing, parsing and creating specification documentation for XML or JSON based documents

12 months experience using Apache Tomcat Server

12 months experiences using the Linux operating system
