Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Full Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on both backend and frontend development. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and a proven track record in building robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. This role involves working on all aspects of the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment, in an Agile Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Stack Development: Build user-facing interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular or React. Develop and maintain server-side logic using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
  • Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain relational databases, including SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • API & Microservices: Develop, test, and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to ensure seamless communication between different application components.
  • Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, troubleshoot applications, and fix bugs to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Deployment & DevOps: Deploy code to various environments using containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, adhering to DevOps best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and QA engineers, within an Agile Scrum framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Backend Proficiency: Strong command of Java 8, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
  • Frontend Expertise: Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools.
  • Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development processes and principles.
  • Experience Level: 10+ years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • COI: A Certificate of Insurance (COI) with a minimum of $5MM coverage is required from the candidate’s employer (the entity running their payroll).
  • Location: Hybrid role based in New York City, NY.
  • Duration: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) with an initial 6-month contract.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $75 per year (Estimated)
