Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. This is a specialized role requiring deep expertise in the Google technology stack, specifically focusing on BOQ (Business Operations Quality/Billing) systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment, preferably with direct experience working at or with Google. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of complex applications, from designing robust backend architectures to creating intuitive and responsive user interfaces. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications and executable code. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and modern frontend frameworks.
- Integrate applications with Google’s internal BOQ stack to ensure seamless business operations and data integrity.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire application stack.
- Optimize application performance and scalability to handle high volumes of data and user traffic.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in full-stack development and the Google ecosystem.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap of the project.
- Ensure the security and privacy of user data by implementing robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience in Java development, including Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Direct experience with Google Stack, specifically BOQ, is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Strong understanding of database systems, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
